Polar Jalapeno Citrus Margarita Seltzer & Jalapeno Cocktail Recipe

polar-jalapeno-citrus-margaritaAdd zip, bang, and pow to your next drink with Polar Jalapeno Citrus Margarita Seltzer – the latest seasonal, limited edition seltzer!

Just in time for Cinco de Mayo!  Don’t fear the heat.  You can totally drink this seltzer by itself.  The staff tried it, you don’t get heat.
The seltzer has a pleasant, refreshing citrus tone to it that would be great with a drier vodka like Reyka plus ice and a twist or lemon or lime (or both), or served the same way with silver tequila (Herradura) or a citrus forward gin such as Bombay Sapphire.

From http://polarseltzer.com/recipes/jalapeno-cocktail/:

Jalapeno Cocktail

1 cup honey
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 cups filtered water
1 jalapeno chile, sliced with seeds removed (or not, if you are really feeling up for some serious heat)
Lemon Vodka
Lemon Polar Seltzer

In a blender, combine honey and lemon juice. Blend and then add water. Pulse to combine. Add jalapeno and then let the liquid seep in refrigerator (1-3hrs depending how much “heat” you want to infuse). Be sure to test the flavor but avoid direct contact with the peppers. When liquid is sufficiently hot/spicy, add three parts lemonade and one part vodka in cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over ice and then top with lemon seltzer. Garnish with lemon wedge (or peppers if u dare).
