Alesmith HAWAIIAN Speedway Stout release happening now!

Probably the rarest beer we’ve ever had in our store!  This Coconut version of Alesmith Speedway Stout is highly sought after, not available in bottles, and incredibly delicious!  At only $20.99 for 32oz (regular Speedway is $14 for 25oz) and with less than 20 growler fills available, this is sure to be gone in a flash!

Speedway Stout:

Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

Pairings:

This beer’s great balance makes it a very food-friendly Imperial Stout. Pair its roasty flavors and robust mouthfeel with rich beef dishes and char-grilled foods. Both chocolate and vanilla desserts also pair well, as do salty blue cheeses like Stilton or hard nutty cheeses like aged Gouda and cloth-bound cheddars.

We are delighted to share an incredibly rare beer with you this week – Alesmith Hawaiian Speedway Stout!  This imperial coconut stout is probably the rarest beer we’ve had in our store so once it’s gone, it is gone!

  • Lost Nation Mosaic IPA | 5.5% ABV | 65 IBU’s | $5.99 32oz / $9.99 64oz – Hazy, juicy, delicious VT IPA of the non-double type which means you can comfortably have a couple!
  • Goodwater Hoppy Side of Pale | 5.4% ABV | $9.99 64oz / $5.99 32oz – Fresh beer from one of VT’s newest breweries!  Not available in bottles or cans – just kegs!
  • Light in the Window Burlington Beer Co | 5.9% ABV | 40 IBU’s $9.99 64oz / $5.99 32oz –  A crispy Rye IPA brewed with barley and rye. Densely hopped and bursting with grapefruit hop flavors to compliment the soft and spicy nature of rye. BBC balanced the soft malt profile with a fresh and aggressive hop flavor.

  • L.S.D. | Lompoc Brewing (OR) | 6.9% ABV | 58 IBU’s | $7.99 32oz / $13.99 64oz – LSD [LOMPOC SPECIAL DRAFT] This dark mahogany brew has a touch of smoke in the nose and is rich and complex with notes of candied dark fruit , toasted malt and dark chocolate that lead to a smooth, dry finish. – Draft only, we only received one keg, once it is gone, it is gone.

The beers and artwork just keep getting better at our super special growler bar in which the beer isn’t exposed to air when it is gently transferred from keg to growler!

    Casey’s Baltic Porter is a rich full bodied beer that lets the malt do the talking. Big malt flavors are balanced by hops and little alcohol warmth. It’s balance makes it a smooth, drinkable, and deeply satisfying brew.

  • Shackbury Millrace Cider | 6.7% ABV | $10.99 32oz / $20.99 64oz – Draft Only, No Retail Bottles at Stores – Extra dry, green apple, fresh cut grass, cheese, soft tannins and minerality.  Blend of lost apples foraged from two orchards in Danby, Vermont.  Native yeast fermentation with a secondary malolactic fermentation.  Bottle conditioned for light effervescence, no added sulfites, unfiltered.

25oz special bottles of Shacksbury retail for $14-$19 a bottle so a 32oz growler of this special cider is a steal!

        To call C-Note very hoppy would be an understatement. It’s brewed with the seven “C” hops (Crystal, Cluster, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Challenger) and pushes the bitterness limit to 100 International Bitterness Units.

  • A Tiny Beautiful Something | Maine Beer Co. – 5.5% ABV  – $17.99 64oz / $9.99 32oz
        Maine Beer Co. – There was a new hop in town, and it was called El Dorado. At first blush, we thought we’d give it a tumble with some of our other favorite Northwest varieties. Then inspiration struck and we decided to brew it as a single-hop pale ale. The aroma and flavor offer intense candied orange and citrus zest. The rounded, silky mouth feel comes from the touch of flaked oats. Brewed to finish dry and clean, it’s a little bit smooth, but still a rugged individualist.
