Thanksgiving 2016 | Releases | Retail Hours | Redemption Hours

Thanksgiving week is here and we know many of you are getting requests to bring hoppy VT-ness back with you to family and friends!

We have scheduled holiday releases in addition to random Heady Topper and Sip of Sunshine drops… here is our plan:

2p Tuesday:

  • Heady Topper normal release.  At least the first 5 people in line will get a case, probably more people will get a case.  It will then be broken down to half cases, two 4 packs, then a single 4 pack. Everyone who is here on time will get Heady Topper!  If you are here on time, you will at least get a 4 pack.  If you come late and don’t get counted, you might miss out.
  • Sip of Sunshine holiday bonus drop.  One 4pk per person while it lasts.

8p Wednesday:

  • Alchemist Heady Topper – Normal 8p Wednesday release.  At least one 4pk per person, maybe more depending on how many people are here.

Friday – Lawson’s Apple Brandy Fayston Maple Stout | Sip of Sunshine | Bourbon County Brand Stout

  • Lawson’s Release – whenever the truck arrives.  There will be a post on the front page of our website for the 11/25 & 11/26 days.  Because of Thanksgiving, we do not know when the truck will arrive.  It might be before noon, it might be mid to late afternoon. Our website will be updated when the truck arrives, when it is out for sale, and when it sells out.  Rest assured that we want you to have beer and that we will get it out for sale ASAP.

10a Saturday –

What happens when great Vermont breweries all get happy in a lunch bag? A lot of our hungry neighbors get fed!

The Bevie brings back “Hops 4 Hunger”, an exceptional VT beer event to benefit our friends and neighbors.

Starting Thursday November 17th at 4PM with 100 % of the profits going to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf & The Winooski Food shelf!

Random bags will have surprise goodies inside ranging from Bevie Gift Cards or Coupons that can be redeemed for a free Bevie T-shirt or Jar of Tipsy Pickles!

Tipsy Pickle will be here with a free tasting to refresh and delight your palate.

“Better Late Than Never”
Our first American IPA! We choose to go a different route with is one. The hopping regiment is unique on this one, as we add no hops until the end of the boil. A theoretical 5 IBUs, what this beer lacks in bitterness it makes up for in flavor and aroma. A simple malt bill of Vienna, Wheat and 2-row with a touch of oats allows the hops to come through. Hopped heavily with Centennial, Columbus and Citra.

15 case Burlington Beer Co.  drop – Bring Forth the Mollusk (4.7%) Applewood Smoked Oyster Porter

Bring Forth the Mollusk is a collaboration w/ Proclamation Brewing Co. from Rhode Island. Brewed with Applewood smoked malt and Rhode Island Oysters. We added the whole oysters to the boil for all the flavor of the oysters to be absorbed into the beer. The salty, mineral, and brine-y flavors of the oyster pair perfectly with the smoked malt flavors.

Also… we will be accepting non-perishable, non-expired food donations all month for the food shelf!

Prices do not include tax or refundable growler deposit.

Mistinguett Brut Cava

  • POURED AT: Waterworks, Mule Bar
  • REGION: The Cava region of Spain
  • TASTING NOTES:
    Light straw color with greenish tints. Aromas are a mixture of fruit (melon, apple and banana) and the result of fermentation (toasted notes). This bubbly is harmonious and appetizing in the mouth, with a light touch of acidity. It has a classic fruity finish, with a rounded and elegant aftertaste.

Fire Road Sauvignon Blanc

  • POURED AT: Oak45
  • REGION: Marlborough, New Zealand
  • TASTING NOTES:
    Fire Road greets your nose with the grassy, herbal notes that are typical of the best New Zealand sauvignon blancs. The smooth and juicy mango, lime and melon flavors in this white are crisp and bold, with a refreshing finish.

Simple Life Pinot Noir

  • REGION: Sonoma, California
  • TASTING NOTES:
    The 2014 Simple Life Pinot Noir has aromas of luscious cherries, nutmeg and savory herbs which bring the wine to life. Bright flavors of cranberry and ripe plum intermingle with sage and warm baking spices. Notes of vanilla from 100% French oak aging provide a lovely background for the complex and supple tannins. This wine has perfect balance between its dark fruit character and lively acidity, which makes it an easy pairing for a variety of foods. Try pairing with grilled salmon and green beans, pork loin spiced with oregano, or creamy polenta with wild mushrooms.

Cantine Del Indie Nero D’Avola

  • TASTING NOTES:
    Silky and lush, this wine has a mouthful of dark berries with a perfectly bright and balanced finish. This certified organic wine is a blend of 70% Nero D’Avola and 30% Syrah. A gorgeous steal of a wine for the price!

Château Beauséjour “Pentimento”

  • POURED AT: Misery Loves Company
  • REGION: Montagne-Saint-Emilion, France
  • TASTING NOTES:
    Michele D’Aprix and Pierre Bernault make a selection from the Château Beauséjour vineyard each year for this wine, which illustrates on its front label the soil’s profile in its molecular formula: Montmorillonite Clay and Limestone. The winery uses organic practices, manual harvest, and fermentation via natural yeast. Pentimento is unfined and unfiltered. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, this wine is full-bodied and leans to the dry side. With pleasing, firm notes of black cherry and currant both on the nose and in the mouth, and just enough spice, this wine is a statement that stands on its own!
