Cosmic Ristretto | Green Flash | Baltic Porter with Espresso | $7.99/22oz | 45 IBU’s | 8.2% ABV

Live long and drink Cosmic Ristretto. This highly revered brew will go down in history as one of the first graduates of our Genius Lab program into our front line. Marvel at its rich black appearance with bruleed edges and mocha-colored beer foam. Breathe in its coffee aroma and sweet malts, and savor its smooth, espresso, chocolate flavor. Don’t fight its gravitational pull. This bold, complex, java-centric Baltic Porter with Espresso is irresistible. Houston, we have a problem, my glass is empty.

Speedway Stout | AleSmith | Imperial Stout with Coffee | $13.99 | 70 IBU’s | 12% ABV

Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

5 Beans | Sixpoint | Imperial Coffee Porter | $12.49/4pk | 40 IBU’s | 10% ABV

An ancient bazaar, sniffing out ingredients for their next formulation. The stalls were buzzing with activity as exotic spice vendors promoted their fragrant wares. But what ingredient would make the fabled 5th bean? The enticing aroma of an oily, smoky pod – black cardamom – caught their attention. Now that would turn the Imperial to Bazaar…If you’re tired of run-of-the-mill flavors, maybe some coffee and exotic spices will perk you up. We gathered 5BEANS from the bazaar to create a cultural phenomenon; a melting pot of cacao, vanilla, coffee, and cardamom creates our original Turkish inspired porter. It’s Mad Science.

Mocha Marlin | Ballast Point | Coffee & Chocolate Porter | $4.99/22oz | 42 IBU’s | 6% ABV

Coffee and chocolate come together in this brew.  Our Black Marlin Porter is the perfect beer for a mocha mashup. The addition of coffee and cocoa plays perfectly off the roasty, chocolaty flavors of this English porter, while a hint of vanilla smooths it all out. It’s full-bodied, but not too sweet; try it for breakfast…or dessert.

Hotbox | Porter with Hotbox Cold Brew Coffee | Oskar Blues | $10.99/4pk | 30 IBU’s | 6.5% ABV

Turn Your Head & Coffee / Wake ‘n Roast

This coffee porter is based on malt flavors of roasted nuts, crème brulee, cocoa, and caramel, extracted from English and German roasted and caramel malts. Hotbox Roasters then crashes the party and infuses potent, cold-extracted coffee from Burundi and Ethiopian beans and deals out flavors and aromas of dark plums, chocolate, and hints of blueberry.

Aún Más Café Jesús | Evil Twin | Imperial Coffee Stout | $7.49/330ml | 12% ABV

On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans – threw them in and created a damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amounts.

Beer Geek Brunch Weasel | Mikkeller | Imperial Oatmeal Stout Brewed with Coffee | $9.99/330ml | 10.9% ABV

This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civet cats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries. Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
A note from Mikkeller about the coffee they use (Sept.19,2013):
– With the last days talk (http://korturl.dk/6b3) about cruel treatment of Kopi Luwak producing civets it is important for us to say this:  We do not use Kopi Luwak from Indonesia in Beer Geek brunch Weasel. We use the Vietnamese variety cà phê Chồn.
– We have been aware since we started using cà phê Chồn in 2008 that not all civet coffee world wide is produced with the best care and respect of the cats. Therefor we searched for and found one supplier of cà phê Chồn that treats the animals with respect and dignity.  This is a link to our producer, whom we have been in close contact with since we started working with them: http://choncoffee.com/
– We use cà phê Chồn mainly or it’s special flavor (no bitterness) that compliments the beer greatly. With that said we might look into using a natural enzyme simulated version in the future.”

Beer Geek Breakfast | Mikkeller | Oatmeal Stout Brewed with Coffee | $6.49/330ml | 7.5% ABV

Ask any beer geek . . . . a hearty, complex stout is the tastiest way to begin the day. This unique mix of an oat and coffee stout creates an intense, full-bodied beer that is surprisingly balanced and full of new taste adventures with every sip.

Two Roads | Espressway | Cold Brew Coffee Stout | $12.69/6pk | 6.5% ABV

In a process unique to Two Roads, we mixed a locally-roasted Ethiopian/Sumatra blend of beans with a rich oatmeal stout under pressure (like espresso but without the steam) using our German-built “Brewnik” device. The mixture is steeped for several days resulting in a true, cold-brewed coffee stout. Hop on the Two Roads Espressway!

Breakfast Stout | Founders | Double Chocolate Oatmeal Stout | $11.49/4pk | 60 IBU’s | 8.3% ABV

The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.
