So he did what he does best and brewed a stout using a few of her favorite ingredients: fresh Michigan blueberries, rich chocolate and vanilla aged in bourbon barrels to round out those beautiful flavors. Liz was floored and we think you will be too.<\/p>\n

We are in the midst of pulling something delicious\u00a0out of bourbon barrels\u2026 something dark, chocolatey, blueberry-y and vanilla-y\u2026. something we\u2019ve never bottled before and we cannot wait\u00a0for you to get your lips on this.<\/p>\n

Lizard of Koz was such a huge hit when it debuted on our taproom draft list for Black Party back in 2015 that we knew we had to\u00a0bring it back somehow, someway (the employees alone begged for it). So, we did. Each 750mL bottle of this rich, tart 10.5% ABV stout will be available in limited quantities across our distribution network, which currently includes 39 states, a early as mid-November with all states seeing it by December (we ship it as it is ready).<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Backstage Series is made up of boundary-pushing, experimental beers. We\u00a0affectionately call it \u201cthe brewers\u2019 playground,\u201d where intent is to take the diehard Founders fan experience to a wider audience\u2014though all of the beers are released in limited batches. Since its introduction in the summer of 2011, our\u00a0Backstage Series beers have quickly become some of the most sought-after releases in the industry with past hits\u00a0including\u00a0Bolt Cutter,\u00a0CBS,\u00a0Curmudgeon\u2019s Better Half, Blushing Monk and Doom.<\/p>\n
